I use Firefox to browse, but my boys use IE which I've secretly "tied" to
freeware Parental Control via a batch file to keep them from inappropriate
content. Periodically though they confound me and download some game or
something. Now I have some sort of Yahoo toolbar showing up in IE.

1. How do I get rid of it?
2. How can I "lock down" IE to prevent configuration changes?
3. Is there some freeware that will prevent downloads of certain types of
files that I can specifiy such as ZIPs, EXEs, etc? I have to be able to turn
this on/ off easily. It should also be able to start up with an "on" state
default so that I can add it to the batch file above.

Windows Configurator might be worth a look
It has quite a few options for locking down IE.

Be aware though, that kids can bypass virtually anything. You *sure*
they haven't got a PW protected, hidden, drive on the puter with their
own browser on it? :-)
