IE is suddenly shut off

My box is windows XP. Recently all my opened webs are shut off suddenly without any prompt when I click any link sometimes.Open the IE again,it will be normal. But I don't know when will it happen . Any help will be appreciate.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.
