I have downloaded and run 5 different spyware removers,
reinstalled IE, directly edited with regedit, and cleaned
with NAV. I still can't get rid of the bug that affects
the home page. Now I have to use Netscape as a browser.
What can I do?

I have the same problem & have tried the same steps. It
seems almost as if a DLL was affected. I can change the
items for homepage, search engine etc... but they
automatically change back as soon as I click any button
within IE. I've also tried restoring to the date of my
origional setup & config, but the problem still remains.

It keeps giving me the homepage:
http://nkvd.us
which I guess translates to:
http://nkvd.us/
& then forwards to:
http://searchpage.cc/

At this point, my next step is to just wipe & start
fresh.

Any help on this matter would be wonderful...

Download and install SpywareBlaster. It will install serveral websites into the
restricted sections of Netscape, Mozilla, and IE which will prevent most
ad-ware. It will also lock your home page preventing hijacking.

Courtney,
my home page is MSNBC and I have SpywareBlaster installed. Nevertheless,
quite often my MS IE v.6 is hijacked by MSN Search!!! I mean, even MSN web
site is hijacked by MSN. What's going on?
