ie home page

Internet Explorer was updated to Internet Explorer 6 from
one of those free CD's and now I cant change my home page
anymore. All the option to change the home page in
the "Internet options" no longer work

I've already tried restoring the original version on my
PC. that did not work. I re-installed version 6 from
Microsoft site, that didnt work either.
