Jennifer

I have been fighting all day just to get IE to work.
Something caused it to stop working, and I have left the
window open like I have usually done to do something
else. When I went back to IE and refresh the page it
goes blank and nothing happens. I can't use my forward
or back buttons, I can't even use url bar to type where I
want to go.

Please help.
Thanks.

Sounds like you've been victimized by spyware such as new.net or
commonname.com
These guys highjack your browser in an attempt to monitor all your Internet
activity.

Get Ad-Adware from Lavasoft (basic version is FREE!)

http://www.lavasoftusa.com

Once installed, be sure to click on the little world icon and update the
reference list.

You may be amazed at all the stuff it finds!

I still need help this isn't working at all I've done all
sorts of fixes for my IE and OE and nothing seems to be
working right. This all started yesterday when I
was 'forced' to download new updates for Windows XP. I
know that some of them also included IE and OE updates.
This is getting tiresome all I get whenever I try to
access anything via IE and OE to Microsoft it sits there
and processes and processes. What is going on??? I
can't get any technical help because the warranty on
system went and I want to use my IE and OE.

Please help me.
Thanks.

I do not have XP but I know that there is a Restore point feature that your
can use to return to a previous setup.

Try to go back before your updates.
