I am running IE in 32bit mode on Vista with about 10 tabbed windows of IE
open. My processor is pegged and when I close them down then the system
returns to normal. Is there a way to make it so IE doesn't hog the system?
Should I be running the IE 64-bit version?

Thanks

what happens if you run say only 5 tabs.

sound like you may not have enough memory.

or maybe have the page file restricted instead of system managed.

yes it comes down some and my page file is system managed. i am also running
SP1 RTM. But it did this prior to installing the SP1.

have you tried turning off any add on you have installed.
