I posted an earlier request about IE6 errors and recieved a quick response
from a kind person. Thank You!. To re-cap, I have a dell latitude celeron
with win XP media edition. When I attempt to connect to the internet,
Internet Explorer shows that it is connecting to site and opening page. Part
of the page loads and then a message says that IE encountered a problem and
needs to close and lose whatever I was working on. It also suggests I tell MS
but doesnt suggest how I tell them as there is no internet capability. The
machine then runs incredibly slowly even to tell me that IE is not
responding. The error signature says:
Event Type: In Page Error P1:c000009c P2:00000003
Tech Details say:
C;\DOCUME~1\user\LACALS~1\Temp\WER5d2b.dir00\EXPLORE.EXE.mdmp And:
C:\DOCUME~1\user\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER5d2b.dir00\appcompat.txt
I have Downloaded the following to my desktop: AVG pro trial, Webroot Spy
Sweeper, Spybot Search and Destroy, and Pest Patrol. I copied them to disk
and then installed and ran them on the notebook. All show clean results with
no issues. I deleted cookies, cleared web cache, history, and emptied recycle
bin. I defragged, and even tried Hijack This. No difference. Can someone
please help?
