About two weeks ago, for reasons I cannot correlate to
anything I did, the following error dialog randomly
appears with IE:

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplorer.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate
it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's
support team for more information.

All windows running IE then quit when the dialog is
dismissed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Paul,
The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).

This may be the issue.
Runtime!
"Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\explore.exe"
The application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
It appears that I have both Java(Sun) and MS VM on the PC. After
disabling/unchecking Java(Sun) the runtime error ceased in IE6. Source:

I don't have the Microsoft VM checked. I'm not sure how
to disable the Sun VM. But, if the MS VM isn't running,
is this still the issue?

Thanks,
Paul
