IE 6 freezes when I click on the down arrow at the end of the address bar to
access previously visited web pages. Any fixes guys?

Have you tried clearing the history? This will remove all the entries in the
drop down but it might remove any problematic entries. If you really need to
get a previously typed url from the drop down, you could look in the registry.

The location of the urls are located here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

To clear history.
1. Open IE
2. Tools
3. Internet Options
4. Clear History

When you clear history, it will remove all entries in this folder path.

If that doesn't work, I would check to see if any third party software
(toolbars, popup blockers, etc) are running which may be trying to interact
with IE. In fact, you may want to try this first if you want to keep your
typed URL history.

Thanks, deleting the history seems to have done the trick.
