IE Flickers XP desktop items flicker. Or "blinks" annoying!@!@!!

When using internet explorer 6.x it flicker,
or "blinks" ... it is almost as if it is refreshing the
page, but it is actually IE. Also the desktop items do
the same thing. I am using Win XP Home Edition. Can
someone help?? this is very annoying!!!!

Have you checked your display adaptor refresh rate? If it's set too low,
that might cause flickering.
