OK this is really stupid but it bugs me. For some reason my Favorites
in Internet Explorer stopped going into the "hiding" mode which means
when I click on Favorites I have to scroll through all listings to get
to a site I want. Is there a registry setting that I can enable to
get Windows XP Pro to go back to hiding the Favs? Thanks!!

I believe what you want is:

internet options | advanced tab | enable personalized favorites menu.

You've been told how to get personalized favorites. However, it sounds
as though you don't have them categorized into folders. That would
make things a lot faster. Best to do by right-clicking the start
button, explore all users, then creating folders in documents and
settings\yourname\favorites. You can drag and drop them in far faster
than using the Favorites organize area.
