I am having problems with IE explorer closing out of memeory when the IE
application window is closed. When I open task manager and view processes
that are running in memory it still shows that IEexplorer.exe is still
running. After opening and closing IE explorer thoughtout the day I might
have 4-5 instances of IEexplorer still running in memory. How do I prevent
this ghosting of IE explorer. I have the lastest SP isntalled.

PA Bear,

I can understand your comments that Iexplorer.exe is not Internet Explorer
(iexplore.exe). This might have been a typo on original post. I have also
seen this occurence, and also found that although I am loading a page, from
a link, it never appears, as it loads on this ghost. I produce applets, and
with the way IE caches the applet, I need to close all occurences of IE to
get newer versions of the applet to show. On several occasions, I have had
several 'ghost' IE running, with correct task name. Once 'killing' them I
can get the latest applets to work.

Therefore, this is a valid question, why, how to stop etc...
