Every time I open IE6.0 I get a :

Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconveience.

If you were in the middle of something, the info you were
working on might be lost.

Can anyone help me with this.

Thank You

Rob

Rob,
From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions." That should allow IE to open.

Run CWShredder from http://www.merijn.org/downloads.html It's been
the most helpful with this problem. CWShredder is only about 125 KB so it
could be downloaded from another machine onto a floppy disk.

Additional information, other removal programs and security tips at:

You should re-enable browser extensions after the cleanup.

I was down for 26 hours for this simple checkbox. I was online with MSFT for 4.5 hours. This is a serious problem that should be identified in the error message as a solution.

Thanks Don

Thanks, Don. This worked great. I'm glad to see I'm not
the only one who had this problem.
