Please...help!!!!

Hi oceanblues :-)

I hate to add further to your woes, but, you don't give us very many details
of the problem to work with here, nor the version of Windows you are using,
so the best I can do is a guess.

Post the exact wording of the error message and your OS. I the mean time,
you might try the following and see if it helps where it may apply to your
OS:

Try this and post back on results:
Run each line individually and hit enter after each one.
Go to Start>Run then type in the window:
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll

also...

If no joy, ttry the information here and see if one of the errors listed is
the one you have and see what resolution they suggest.
http://www.generation.net/~hleboeuf/ershdcvw.htm

You should also visit the Windows Update site and let it scan for necessary
updates and install them.

and...

It may be that the file has become corrupted and needs to be replaced.

Hi oceanblues 76,

You don't say what version of Windows you're running, but I got this
error and IE would close, and restart, (back at my homepage). Except,
the error was with Mshtml.dll. I researched, and tried all the
suggestions in newsgroups, and Microsoft KB, to no avail. I have
Win98. I finally decided to do a repair Internet Explorer in Safe
Mode, and it worked! No more freezing and getting the error and
restarting. The problem seems to have started after installing
security updates several weeks ago, but who knows? I'm just glad it's
stopped happening. I sent off the report to Microsoft a half dozen
times, but it just took me to a page that said Microsoft is working on
the unknown problem! Good luck.
