For many months now, IE has been throwing up the "Internet Explorer has
encountered a problem and needs to close" error. Just about every time it has
happened I have sent the error report to MS. I was hoping by now to see some
reference to a fix.

The error signature - Appname: iexplore.exe Appver: 6.0.2900.2180 Modname:
unknown Modver: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 60b47930

Has anybody else seen this particular error signature? Did you find a fix?

Hi,
Errors in "unknown" are often caused by malware.

Download and run CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot.
See: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Also note the security tips and other important information on that page.

Hi,
Does the error still occur if you uninstall the Norton program? Norton
Internet Security? Norton AntiVirus?
