I started a new PC (HP W5280.be) with Windows/XP SP2 some days ago.
IE Explorer seems to hang after a certain time of inactivity.
When selecting the IE window, some fields/frames of the current page are
empty (white) and some of them reappears very slowly, but IExplore seems
locked.
System activity shows something like 50 % activity for IE and 50 % inactivity.

Virus scan shows no problem of virus.
Any idea about this ?

Hi,
Just a guess, but try this easy step...
The default size setting of the Temporary Internet Files is much too large.
So, clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete files
(and delete offline content when that dialog pops up) Be patient- deleting
those files may take a couple of minutes. Then use the Settings button to
limit the size of the Temporary Internet Files folder to about 50 MB.

And, running Ad-aware, Spybot and Windows AntiSpyware wouldn't hurt.
