If you move the mouse over it does it change colour? Does it have an down
icon next to it? Mine is also "greyed out", but when I move the mouse over
it the FrontPage icon changes to blue. I think it's greyed out but still
works if you have more than one registered editor application (in my case I
have FrontPage 2002, Word 2002, Excel 2002, and Notepad listed). If that's
the case, just live with it.

You could also try running SFC (sfc.exe /scannow), and delete all temporary
internet files.

Open IE. Click on Tools > Internet Options > Programs > HTML editor >
Choose your editor > Apply/OK out.

If there are no options there, click on

My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > File Types > scroll down and
click on HTM or HTML Document, click Advanced Tab, click Edit, and
change the editor to your editor of choice > Apply/Ok out. Now open IE,
and click on Tools > Internet Options > Programs > HTML editor > Choose
your editor > Apply/OK out.
