IE Doesnt Open up Automatically Anymore

In Outlook Express, or on my desktop, or any other shortcuts I have that
would normally open up Internet Explorer to that website, doesn't do that
anymore. IE doesn't open up at all. I click, double click, and nothing
happens!

The only thing I've changed recently on my computer is that I've installed
ICQ, so I don't know if that broke this feature.

Also, in Windows Explorer, when I point to a short cut that's a url, I
right click on it and I get the "Open" program option (not Open With). I
choose that, and again nothing happens!

What could have broken this feature and how can I get it back?

Hi Reddiance,

1. Close all instances of Internet Explorer
2. Click Start/Run and type CONTROL INETCPL.CPL
3. Click the Programs tab, and click "Reset Web Settings" button
4. Select "Yes" when prompted, and click OK to close the dialog.

This usually fixes the corrupt IE related file associations. If not, you may
want to execute these commands from Start/Run:

regsvr32 /i shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 /i urlmon.dll
