IE does not plat <embed> mp3 anymore

IE always played websites with <embed> mp3's
After installing Quick Time AND de-installing it after
some days, websites with with <embed> mp3's do not play
anymore. Also no Media Player mini-screen.
What went wrong and how can I solve this.
 
Hi Jo :-)

First, try reinstalling the Media Player. The other may have corrupted some
files on the uninstall.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.
