IE does not connect

I have some problem with my internet explorer, it does
not open any website and DNS not found error page is
displayed. this is for sure that i am connected to the
internet and my settings are right becasuse i can connect
to the internet with all other softwares like chating,
file transfer, or other browsers but only the internet
explorer acts like it is not connected i am using
internet through my LAN at work and we have a ADSL
connection. i would appreciate any suggestions

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
