hi,

my computer was behaving a little odd yesterday, and so some of the internet
settings were fiddled around with, so i dont know whats been changed.

however since yesterday whenever i use internet explorer to view a website
the page comes up with all the old stuff that was on the webpage yesterday.

therefore for every webpage i have to keep pressing Refresh to get today's
news. can you please help?

Note: i'm actually using IE7 but i cant find a newsgroup for it, but please
assist in any way you can

Thankyou very much for your time

Hi,
IE7 questions should be posted to
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

Web access:
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...?dg=microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

Outlook Express or another NNTP newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

But, since you're here and the answer is essentially the same for IE6 &
IE7...
First clear your Temporary Internet Files from Internet Options> General>
Browsing History> Delete> (next screen) Delete files. Also, set the size of
the cache to 60-80 MB... Internet Options> General> Browsing History>
Settings.

Then, Internet Options> General> Browsing History> Settings> Temporary
Internet Files> choose
Every time I visit the webpage or Every time I start IE.

Some ISPs cache webpages. If you're getting old pages from a proxy server,
hitting refresh may be the only solution.

Hope this helps,
