IE Crashes at startup

Here is a pain in the neck for you.

As soon as I open IE the program will crash, error reporting will come up
and ask me if I would like to send this to MS and then close once I make a
choice (send / don't send)

I have checked the LSP stack and it is fine. I am able to receive updates
from sources using TCP, and I am able to browse the internet freely if I use
another browser (Firefox). Is there a way to repair IE without doing
anything drastic to the rest of the OS?
 
I actually figured this one out since posting. The problem was a
trojan/hijack that was trying to redirect the browser and ended up just
blowing it out.
