IE could not link to the web-page you requested

Well! I get this error msg when I want to get to any web-
site......

If any one of you guys can help me out then please do
so........

What version of OS and IE are you using.
Give us the exact error message.

You may want to start with these.

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.
