Through a visited site, a dammable download has infected
my IE6 and changes the home page to a fraudulent "search
engine" then a cookie "doubleclick" is added to transmit
my visited sites. I installed Spybot and if I run it
after XP, it will isolate the 4 and sometimes 5 bad
elements and allow me to run normally. I can't discover
a method to permanently restore the system. Can I
delete, using the XP program, IE6 and then install a new
version, either from CD or a download? Thanks in advance
for your good advice, Jon Englert

Jon,
Make *sure* SpyBot is updated via "Online"
Rescan, fix items in red ...... then run HijackThis (see below)
