I guess there aren't any genius` out there. This is the
4th time I have posted this problem and haven't received
any answer...so I'll try again.
I have a problem when I am on a web site and click on
another link in that site, Internet explorer closes....it
doesn't happen if I am using Netscape 7.1 so I presume it
is a flaw with IE. Example: In my MSN the score for the
NY Yankees is final...I click on "Final Recap" and IE
closes. I have to open it again to view another web
site. I have Windows XP Pro and this didn't
happen in the past. Anyone know what's wrong and how to
correct it?

Hey, I'm having the same problem. It just began
last week. I'm on a website, then I click a link.
And IE6 opens a POP-up error box with website. To
send error to Microsoft. Afterwhich it shuts down
and reload itself. Other times the webpage refreshes
by itself. Then loads a blank page or the previous.

Hey Dom and Puzzled,

Something I found it and which eventually helped me
resolve my problem with that... Click on the 'detail' tab
next time it throws that Pop-Up at you and see what it
says in the top section.

Mine said: AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106
ModName: wmpdxm.dll ModVer: 9.0.0.2980 Offset: 0001af9b

It was the "ModName: wmpdxm.dll" that gave me the clue.
That particular file is related to the Windows Media
Player problems I was having. Once I resolved that
problem my little 'Microsoft Internet Explorer has
encountered a problem...' pop-up went away and all is well.

Good Luck!

Vaughn
