on pages where the nagri content is not with a fontface tag,
(eg, shree's online hindi dictionary at
http://www28.brinkster.com/shreeshrii/eng-hin.htm ), the opentype
instructions do not seem to work at all even if on the local machine the
default fonr for nagri in IE is set to Mangal/Raghu. The text is shown just
as it
would be in the text representation.

the sites you mentioned don't show up correctly on my IE 6 even with
mangal as the default nagri font.

is there any special setting ?

No special setting that I know of. Did you do something to your
installation recently, like installing a patch or an upgrade?
These sites show up fine for me without doing anything extra.
How about posting a screenshot somewhere? What is it that you see?
Or, is it a regression in a new IE version?
