ie bsod, can't login anymore

I was trying to use the web when ie crashed on me. I tried end tasking
repeatedly and that wasn't working, tried loading up firefox but that
wouldn't load up. tried end processing firefox exe but it wouldn't shut
down, then I tried loading netscape and I got a bsod. Since then I can not
login.

When I reboot, I get to the loading screen saying it's loading my personal
settings, but it just hangs there. I do see the start menu and a shortcut
bar I made but the login settings screen is dominant on the rest of the
screen. If I ctrl alt del I can see task man but if I move it it leaves
window trails.

The same thing happens in safe mode even but not in the admin account.

what can I do to access my system again?

all resolved by loggin in, in safe mode a few times, letting it wait out,
and shutting down properly. The first few times I had to manually power off
