IE Browser does not load links or graphice

I need help with IE 6 SP1. I have been having a problem
from the get go. When the browser starts, most of the
links and/or graphics do not load. I have uninstalled and
reinstalled and same thing. When I open a webpage, I have
to go to each individual lick or graphic and then right
click and then select "show picture" for them to appear.
Can any one please help?
