Wendy

I just upgraded my PC from W98 to XP. All works fine
except the browsing part. It now takes several minutes for
any web page to load (as opposed to a few seconds before).
I connect using a dial-up modem. I have contacted my ISP
provider and they stepped me through some things but did
not resolve the issue.
Are there any parameters or anything that need to be
change that could resolve this?
Thx.

Wendy,
The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).

You may need to clear your TIF as you may have a corrupt file there.

Close all instances of OE and IE
Control Panel | Internet Options | General tab
Click the "Delete Files" button, when prompted place a check in:
"Delete all offline content", click OK
Click the "Clear History" button, click OK.
Click the Settings button, adjust the TIF size to 50 mb, click OK
