IE browse process KB article

Does anyone know a knowledge base article that gives a
good description of the process that occurs when a user
opens IE, types iin a URL, then hits enter? I'd like an
outline of the steps that occur after hitting enter.

I checked out most of these links and they all are
oriented toward searching. I'm talking about the
underlying process behind Internet browsing like ..."the
client passes the hostname to the primary DNS server for
name resolution" "it checks to see if a proxy server is
specified in the Internet options"... Stuff like that"
