IE broken

Customer's IE will start and veiw some pages, but not
others... checked the cipher strength... nothing comes up
on the about page... windows update will not run. Cleaned
off spyware/viruses this morning, and scans not showing
that they came back... sites that I can see are, Google,
Yahoo, MSN... can't see Hotmail, Comcast.net/.com

Taskbar is now missing when computer was restarted...
