IE blank window

Hi there,

When I start my windows 98 up my programs load then a
blank IE windows opens saying page can't be desplayed. I
connect to my dail up later and all is well. Does anyone
know why the blank IE page comes up even when I am not
trying to get online. It comes up with the start up of my
pc yet I do not see anything in msconfig that might be
causing it. Thanks in advance.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
