IE blank screen trouble....

For about a month I have a screen that shows up when I load IE (Internet
Explorer) It is a search page with hundreds of listing on it to search the
web. I cannot replace it with the blank page option under the tools options.
I just stays there. The registry shows several files listed as About_Blank
under the numbers 001,002,003 etc. The one that shows up has a [1] after the
words About_Blank [1].........any ideas as to get my IE program to load with
just a blank page.
