IE became unusable specially with Hotmail and Yahoo mail

I am experiencing problem with IE
6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633IS

Looks like it is corrupted. Trying to get some pages but
unable to find it. I tried to uninstall the software. I
can't even find it using control add/remove program. So I
am stuck with the version which does not work and I can't
reinstall on top of it. Any advise would be appreciated.

I am have what may be a similar problem. On these sites
especially (but not exclusively) IE stops responding...

When i look in the event viewer (under administrative
options) it seems to almost always be an application hang
w/ IE (category (101) and event id 1002 or 1000). I have
run ad-aware, spybot, norton's (all w/proper updates) -
this did not turn up any problems.

I have XP Pro and it doesn't matter how I'm connected to
the internet (at school or home). The text below is from
event viewer (just an example of what the errors all say):
