IE backgrounds won't display

i have some customers with various types of computers
who's IE 6.x won't display backgrounds on web pages.
that includes background in tables, cells and pages.
help?

They may have stylesheet extensions turned on.
In the Internet Options control panel, on the General tab press the
Accessibility button and check the settings for 'User Style Sheet'.
