I have this PC in my garage that is going to run games using an HTML
page menu. The problem I have is that when a user clicks on a file it
downloads a batch file (.BAT) and I want it so that it automatically
runs vs. opening the dialog prompt box that asks if you want to save
or open this file. The problem is, the "Always ask before opening
this kind of file" box is greyed out with a check mark in it. I can
see why it is for security reasons but I am getting this file from
another host on my intranet so it is secure. I fiddled with the
Security settings in IE Options and added the name of the host into
the Trusted sites but still no go. I imagine this will take a
registry tweak so any suggestions are helpful. BTW, I can make it
where it gets a .BAT file or a .LNK file so either of those would be
ok.
