When I use my user account in XP the adress is automatically completed in the
same row, while other users on the same computer gets the completed adress
below the actual adress-row. Thereby they have to click with the mouse or use
tab-key.

Does anyone know how to change the settings so that all users gets the easy
completion?

Hi Ulf :-)

Try the following and see if it helps:

How to set Autocomplete for addresses in the Address Bar

In order to enable the Autocomplete, do the following:

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Click the Content tab. Click the button
that says Autocomplete. Check Web Addresses and all other items you want
used with Autocomplete. Click OK

On the General tab look for the section on History. Set the Day to keep
pages in history to how many days you want to keep pages in the History.

or..........................

Autocomplete not working

Addresses Are Not Resolved When the AutoComplete Feature Is Enabled

Work through the possible solutions at

Then see:

also....

Reset Search:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads/tools/IEFIX.reg
This will restore your default Search functionality. However, if you had
any custom adjustments you have made will have to re-select them.

Restore Search

to restore your default Search functionality. You'll have to manually
re-select any Customizations you may have had, however

If these steps do not resolve your problem, or you need help with the above,
please post back to this thread with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps

Maybe I did not express myself clearly. I have set Autocomplete as you have
written. When I write an adress autocomplete gives suggestions in the same
row as I type, but the other users get suggestions below that row, within a
frame.

Hi Ulf :-)

Try this, it should reset all your IE functions back to normal:

Resets all the IE functions - for windows, hangups,

Start> Run> Paste this
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll

and then do the same with each one of the following..

regsvr32 Shell32.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll

or.....open an ms-dos prompt window and type the following hitting enter
after each line.

regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll

This should sort the problem out completely. It works for Windows XP pro and
IE6.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, or you need help with the above,
please post back to this thread with the details and any error messages.

Hi,
I think the setting you're looking for is at Internet Options> Advanced>
Browsing> Use inline AutoComplete.

Hope this helps,
