Hi.
My firewall has started reported that IPV6 Driver is trying to contact the
network. I've googled it, and understand that it's a perfectly legit
protocol; but my internet explorer and internet access in general has gone
very slow and patchy since the firewall started asking about this driver.
Plus which, I've never had the firewall ask this question before, so I don't
know why it's only just started, and why it seems to have coincided with a
fall in my pc's performance. Any ideas? IE is running slow, Windows Update
won't come up at all.

Connected, but separately, what's the best website to go and get a full
check on my pc in terms of infections? I have AVG, Adaware and Spybot, but
I've just got the feeling that something else is up, and I wondered if going
online and getting one of those comprehensive checks off a website, where
they come into your pc and check it over, may unearth something that my
installed software hasn't. Thanks.

Here are a couple I snitched from David Lipman's canned reply, grin.....

Symantec:
http://security.symantec.com/

Trend:
http://housecall.antivirus.com
http://housecall.trendmicro.com

But do Trend first......I don't trust Norton as much.
