Hello,

Based on my research, this issue can occur if some third party IE
components are corrupted. I suggest that you try the following steps:

Create a new User Account
---------------------------------------------
1. Click the Start button and click the Control Panel menu.
2. Click the User Account icon.
3. Click "Create a new account", type the name and click next.
4. Pick the Computer Administrator type and click the Create Account button
to finish.
5. Restart your computer and log on Windows as the new account.

Refer to the following article to disable third party startup programs and
related services
---------------------------------------------------

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;281770

Remove IE related plug-ins
--------------------------------------------
1. Click Start, click Run, type "regedit" (without the quotation marks) in
the Open box, and click OK.
2. Click the plus signs (+) next to the following branches to expand them:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Plugins\Extension

3. From the Registry menu, click Export to store the key
4. In the left pane, right click the Extension sub-key, click Delete, and
click Yes to confirm.

5. Use the same steps to backup and then remove third party related keys
under

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar

6. Use the same steps to backup and delete the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browse
r Helper Objects

7. Close the registry editor.

If the issue persists, I suggest that you use the method below to collect
the DLL list of IE

1. Go to http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/procexp.shtml click
Download Process Explorer (x86 - 77KB) - you plan on using Process Explorer
on WinNT/2K. Extract it and run the procexp.exe program.
2. In the Processlist, select and highlight Iexplore.exe.
3. In the menu, click View, then select View DLLs.
4. Click File | Save As to export the DLLllst.
5. Send me a copy of the .txt file.
