IE address -how to delete

hi whenI type in an IE address www.ya for example, below
the address IE automatically gives me choices as i type;
i tried to delete these choices usest the delete key, but
couldn't; how do I delete them thanks mark

Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Clear History
In the Advanced Tab > Uncheck "Use inline autocomplete.........."
