Is IE 7 in development? or is there going to be one since all these browsers
have released a version 7 of there software maybe IE should catch up.

I wish IE would grow up and allow me to block ads and javascript though.
I wonder why it doesn't!?! When free browsers can do it, why can't the
multi-million dollar rich MS do it?

Good question, however I think MS probably make a lot of money from
businesses using their software so whilst you and me are important (to you
and me) we might not be so important in the overall business plan for MS -
Businesses want to advertise! Also, MS is often accused of trying to be a
monopoly and has been accused of literally "Buying out" any competitors.
Let's say MS implemented a Pop-Up stopper in IE itself, would they then be
accused of doing all the third party vendors out of business?

MS decided that a "Complete" system should be internet enabled, so Windows
came with a "Browser" and "Email". Netscape then accused them of trying to
destroy the competition by including these items (More or less).

To be honest I run a free Antivirus because now MS have enabled me to
prevent scripted viruses from automatically executing I generally spot
suspicious things before the AV does. Yes, it's there in case I screw up,
but by making OE safe can we claim they have done Norton out of business?

It's a bit like those carnival rides. When you stand and watch them you can
see the cars at the end of the arms are in perfect balance... but once you
are in one of the cars and stuck "Out on a limb" as it were the picture
changes dramatically. No longer are you simply a part of a balanced machine,
you are looking at all the pivots on your car thinking "I hope that doesn't
break".
