Since I've downloaded IE 7, when I try to open files in my documents, it
states the following. Windows cannot access the specified device, path or
file. You may not have the appropriate rights.

I am the administrator on this computer. What should I do, it is very
important that I do open one of these files.

Hope to hear from you soon, I remain

Sincerely,

Dianne

Are you sure you're in the right profile/user account?

Start > Logout > check... Is that your username?

Hi Dianne,
=> First can you create another Profile on your computer as an admin and
have all Privileges to the machine, you looks like still on the windows
default Admin.
To do this click Start >> Control Panel >> User Accounts >> and on the new
User accounts window you can create or change a user profile or the way it
log on and see if creating a new Admin will solve the problem.
If you prefere then do the System Restore Direct as Explained below:

= > Click on the Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools and
there you will find System Restore, you can restore to an earlier Date before
installing the IE7 by selecting a date from the Calender on the System
Restore Window.
How to perform and troubleshoot System Restore on XP:

Be sure your computer is clean from malwares and Viruses by scaning with
up2date AV and Anti-spyware.
HTH.
Please report back if you need further help.
