IE 7 with Vista 5699 RC1 Problems with Adobe Flash (How I fixed)

I recently had problems getting flash 9 to work in IE7. It initially worked
fine, but I soon began having problems. Websites stopped detecting that
flash was installed. I tried everything I could possibly think of, and
working in IT believe me I tried many things. I could not even download it
and manually install it. The problem I was haveing was, aside from not
detecting flash, IE would try to install the add-on, then DEP would halt the
installation causing the install to fail. Instead of doing the correct
troubleshooting methods, I missed the most obvious one. Have I recently
installed any new software before the failure? The answer was Yes. It
turns out the installation of the Java 2 platform console was to blame. As
soon as I uninstalled this program flase began working instantly. Anyway I
just thought I would post this problem and solution due to the fact I could
not find any information on this problem, so at least the fix is posted
somewhere now if this happens to anyone else.

Would be more helpful if you added the version of Vista (86 or 64) and the
version of Java 2

Fast, especially searching. Very crisp. I have only had x64 up a couple of
hours and have been going through basic setup so far. Everything seems to
work except one classic control panel item (it stopped responding).

Shame On You Microsoft, Once Again You Forgot To Send Me The Email With The
Download Link, Downloading Right Now.

Thanks. Getting ready to install.

I have to say, it is very cool that Microsoft provided
this build for CPP testers. They certainly didn't have to-
that shows me they are very serious about fine tuning
Vista before RTM and really want a top notch product
at release. I am impressed.

Why don't you post this in the beta ng's where MS is likely to read it. You
are just posturing by posting here.

I no longer have access to the Microsoft Connect Beta News Groups, Remember
the fact that I clicked on the Decline Button on September 1st, 2006, after
I accidently broke my Dell XPS 600 (which is still not fixed yet), I didn't
think that I was going to be able to continue Beta Testing Windows Vista
anymore, and that I wouldn't have a decent working computer until after RTM
already occurred, that was until I fixed my Dell Dimension 8400 earlier this
week, by borrowing the SATA Hard Disk Drive, RAM, DVD Burner, and SATA Cable
from the Broken Dell XPS 600, my Dell 8400 is fixed now, so I am back in
business (with testing Windows Vista), just FYI.
