IE 7: Tabbed browsing not WAD

The user is supposed to be able to set options for tabs so that links from
other programs open in a new tab in the browser, rather than opening in the
same tab in the same window. This is the way tabs work in Firefox and
Netscape 8. Even though I changed the options for IE 7 to do this, and
restarted the browser, the setting doesn't take. The new link comes into the
same tab that is currently active, overwriting the current webpage with the
new one. That takes away the whole advantage of tabbed browsing. This must be
a bug. It is now necessary to open a new tab manually, leave it active, then
go back to the other program and activate the link. Needs more work, MS. For
now I stick with Firefox.

IE7 questions should be asked in the Internet Explorer newsgroup. There are
quite a few posts there so peruse them for something on topic before posting
a new message.

Thanks for the link, Rock. I looked in the dropdown for an IE 7 group, but
only IE 6 was listed.

You're welcome. That's correct, there isn't a IE7 group. Users have been
asked to post to the internetexplorer.general newsgroup for IE7 issues.
Good luck.
