IE 7. Strange icon preceding some web addresses in top toolbar

Bit hard to describe this, but here we go.
At the moment, I have two addresses displayed: the full http one and the
page (?) title (IE Newsgroups Home). Both are preceded by a Microsoft icon, a
blue square with a white M.
But whenever I go to some BBC sites (UK), the word 'Moz' precedes the
addresses. It's not in a box, just the three latters, sloping downwards Left
to Right. Other BBC sites are preceded by the BBC logo.
Does anyone know what the 'Moz' means?

Hi Dave,
MOZ is short for Mozilla. Probably what is occuring is that some of the BBC
sites you are visiting are new and the developers have not yet changed the
favorite icon for their sites. It sounds like they are using an Appache
server that is by default using a "MOZ" icon for the site favicon.

You can test this for yourself by entering in the domain name followed by
"/favicon.ico" in the IE Address bar and then pressing enter. eg.
http://www.somebbcsite.com/favicon.ico or
http://www.microsoft.com/favicon.ico

Regards.
