It is possbible to configure the IE address bar to appear as toolbar in the
taskbar - so that I can enter
an address directly...

Is there a way to configure the IE7 search box to appear as a toolbar?

Thanks

Right-click the taskbar. Choose TOOLBARS, then click ADDRESS. That should
put an address bar in your taskbar.

This gives me the address bar but not the search box from IE7...

Any ideas?

Christian

there are other 3rd party tools than can add a search bar on the taskbar
OR as you can see, if you start typing you will see a "search for" thing
sticking up
if you press that it will do a search using the default search engine...
see screenshot: http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/7738/screenie1ri5.jpg

still another way is to add a letter before the search keyword that
signifies the
search engine you want to use.. for example if you want to search for the
workd "vista"
on google you would type

g vista and press enter the 3 tells the address bar to search for
"vista" using google.

Tell me if any of the above helps
