IE 7 rollback

How long should we wait (to get the bugs ironed out first) before trying to
install the new IE 7?

I have read conflicting comments that IE 7 (is, is not) rollbackable to IE6,
which is true?

Do I understand from the comments here that Outlook Express is no longer
part and parcel of IE? So does that mean that OE 6 is unchanged and not
affected by the installation of IE7?

TIA

Sorry if this is reposted but couldn't see my previous message.

Rollback is possible:

Uninstalling Internet Explorer 7 RC1

To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 and restore Internet Explorer 6 when using
Windows XP or Windows Server 2003

Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Click Add or Remove Programs.
Scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer 7, click it, and then click
Change/Remove.
If you cannot find Internet Explorer 7 in Add or Remove Programs, click
Start, click Run, type %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe, and then press
ENTER.

Note: %windir% is the location of your Windows directory, which can usually
be found at C:\Windows. To do this, you need to have "view hidden folders"
enabled.

I think I'll wait a while before trying it again. IE7 installation totally
messed up my telephone dialer, and Outlook 2003 now refuses to connect to my
email server. Won't even show my email accounts, even after I removed and
reinstalled Outlook. Luckily, Outlook Express doesn't seem to have been
affected.

It apparently messes up the drivers for HP scanner/printers, too.
