When I go to a web site that has a Acrobat PDF file that I want to
display fails. I get an error message that IE "couldn't find Adobe
Acrobat". The dialog box is titled "acrobat plug-in".

When I look at plugins, there is an adobe acrobat plugin. Also I have
the professional version of adobe acrobat on my machine.

What is happening?

thanks

They open for me. I have Adobe Reader 7 installed, straight from Adobe's Web
site. In the Manage Add-Ons window I have AcroIEHlprObj Class (or something
like that), which I assume is the plug-in that message refers to. Maybe if
you just download that free reader, it'll work. Or save the PDF and open it
with Adobe directly.

David:
Adobe Reader 7 is a free download that may indicate that Adobe 6 isn't
supported.

I would have to buy the professional version also.

The problem is that I have a free adobe add-in that allows be to
extract certain information from a PDf file. The last time I check,
the author hadn't upgraded to v7.
