When I open a new tab I want it to go to Yahoo.com and not a blank page. Can
I change the home page for tabs?? Thanks.

If there's a reason you're asking a question about IE 7 in a newsgroup for
IE 6 I'd like to hear it.

I couldn't find an IE 7 discussion. I thought maybe I could get some help
over here instead I get some cynical response. Sorry for inconveniencing your
day.

I too was looking for an IE7 newsgroup and was going to post something here.
I don't quite understand the responses of some who seem to think they own
the newsgroup and instead of just saying go look over at xxxx and offering a
bit help, have to be sarcastic as they giggle to themselves and think 'I
know something you don't know blah blah blah..

James,

As linked to from the download page of the preview of beta 2 for IE7 at
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/ie7betaredirect.mspx the correct
newsgroup to use for IE7 is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general
The full feedback mechanisms for the preview have been posted on the IE team
blog at http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/01/31/520817.aspx
The team blog http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/ is a great place to keep up to date
with IE7 news. Please remember this is a preview of beta 2 and issues are to
be expected with any prerelease software. All feedback is appreciated as it
allows us to prioritise work and deliver a great final product.

I'm sure the people here do not mean to be unhelpful.

Thanks
-Dave

It's rude when posters are too lazy to read through the newsgroup before
posting - like you're supposed to do - to see if their question was
previously asked and answered, as this question regularly is.

There are no 'rules' in a newsgroup to enforce, but there are customs and
conventions of long standing. People who respect others learn the customs
and conventions before they post.

As a reminder, poeple who respect others also extend coutresy to others.
While it is not a 'rule' here, it is a long standing tradition, as with all
MS newsgroups, as well as covered by the first two points of newsgroup
netiquette.

There are, and will be, many posts to this and other newsgroups by first
time posters who may mistakes in selecting a proper group, or overlook
related support information, and many who use the Web interface to access
newsgroups. Subject lines are not often worded the same, although, they may
reference a similar issue.
