Pleae help me!
Problem is the following:
I cannot install new version. It keeps telling me, U have IE 7 already
installed, and first uninstall current version - which I can't.
Neither by means of "Add / Remove programs", nor "Add/ Modify Windows
Elements". When I try, it does nothing not even prompts me...
Sounds like "Catch 22".
Any suggestions?
Your help is appreciated.

1. First try uninstalling via Add/Remove Programs. (Tip: Make sure Show
Updates box is checked.)

If IE7 isn't found there, try the following, compiled by/courtesy of MVP
Sandi Hardmeier:

2. Run the commandline

%windir%\$NtUninstallie7b2pmx$\spuninst\spuninst.exe

[%windir%\$NtUninstallie7bet2p$\spuninst\spuninst.exe (according to the
dated Release Notes)]

Replace %windir% (above) with the path to your Windows folder, most often
'C:\Windows'. Make sure Show Hidden File and Folders is enabled via Control
Panel > Folder Options.

or

3. Go to the key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

Right click on Internet Explorer > New String Value > Name that value
InstalledByUser (the value of the new String should be your User Account
name) > Uninstall IE7 via Add/Remove Programs.

Some software (for example CCleaner) deletes uninstaller directories such as
$NtUninstallie7bet2pmx$. If the $NtUninstallie7bet2pmx$ folder is empty, or
has been deleted completely, whether by third party software or manually to
preserve disk space, you will *not* be able to remove the Beta 2 Preview via
Add/Remove Programs or the commandline. If running System Restore does not
resolve the situation for you, then your only choice is to stay with the
Preview, or format your PC and install Windows anew. You will not be able
to install any future builds of IE7 while Beta 2 Preview is installed, nor
will you be able to run a Repair Install of XP.

This is dangerous, but since the next step is format and reinstall
everything it's worth a try:

Thank for all pieces of words - Your words are made of gold...
I succeeded with the special procedure No.4!
I made it - I realized I was dumb enough - I must have had deleted the
uninstallation-string (IE=), and with this "Ultima Ratio" I was able to
escape reformatting! Success story below...
The procedure worked ever smooth and nice...
Uninstallation went fine, rebooted twice, disabled WinService (AutomUpdate),
installed new version, reenabled AUpdates.
It is VERY IMPORTANT to tell my case to a lot of people, because while
supposing others not being as negligent as I am, it can happen to anybody
(especially if using diskspace-freeing programs, like Ccleaner or
EasyCleaner).
Once again, I really appreciate Your immense help!
